Built in 1893 to coincide with the World’s Fair in Chicago, this building was originally home to its namesake elite athletic and social club, one of Chicago’s most beloved landmarks.  It has been transformed into a uniquely inspired boutique hotel as an iconic destination for travelers and locals alike.  Opened in May 2015, the Chicago Athletic Association hotel now features 240 guest rooms, a variety of restaurants, bars and lounges, as well as over 17,000 square feet of meeting and special event space overlooking Millennium Park and Lake Michigan. The hotel is home to the first hotel project for hospitality group Land & Sea Dept (Longman & Eagle, Parson's Chicken & Fish, Lost Lake), offering multiple concepts throughout the second floor and lobby lounge, including Drawing Room, Milk Room, Game Room, and Cherry Circle Room restaurant. Chicago's Fairgrounds Coffee & Tea and Shake Shack are open on the ground floor – in fact, we’re the only hotel in the world with Shake Shack available through in-room dining! And of course, perched on the hotel’s 13th floor of the hotel, our rooftop restaurant and bar Cindy’s offers seasonal American fare and a year-round terrace overlooking Millennium Park and Lake Michigan beyond.
